In short
Call /best-sellers with a category (for example beauty) and a country. It returns the list's top 50 products with rank, ASIN, title, price, star rating and number of ratings. Set type=NEW_RELEASES for the New Releases list.
The use case
Amazon's best seller lists show what is selling right now in each category, in each country. Product researchers, affiliate sites and brands watch them daily to spot trending products, track their own rank, and see what competitors sell.
Who does this: Amazon sellers and product researchers, affiliate and review sites, brands tracking their category rank, and market analysts comparing countries.
How to do it
Uses the Real-Time Amazon Data API, tested live on October 28, 2026. Call /best-sellers with the category and country. Here, Beauty & Personal Care on amazon.com:

Can I compare Amazon best sellers in the US, UK and Germany for the same category?
Yes. Loop the same category over country=US, GB and DE. The category name is the same, and prices come back in each store's currency.
