G2 API
Retrieve software product listings, G2 scores, star ratings, user reviews, feature comparisons, pricing tiers, and satisfaction metrics from G2's software marketplace.
What Is the G2 API?
The G2 API provides programmatic access to G2's software marketplace - the world's largest software review platform with over 2 million user reviews across 100,000+ products. It returns software product profiles with G2 score, star rating, review count, pricing tiers, and category tags. Each product record includes satisfaction metrics broken down by user segment - SMB, mid-market, enterprise - alongside implementation difficulty ratings, customer support scores, and feature comparison tables. Searches run by software category, product name, or keyword across G2's full catalog.
The API also exposes individual user reviews with reviewer role, company size, and use case context - the data layer for software comparison engines, procurement research tools, and competitive intelligence platforms. Review volume trends and rating change data enable monitoring for reputation shifts, while category-level rankings surface which vendors are gaining or losing ground over time. A product team can pipe G2 review data directly into their feedback workflow; a sales team can use competitor review signals to identify high-intent switching buyers.

What you can build with real-time G2 review and software data
Software Review Monitoring
Track G2 reviews, ratings, and G2 scores for your software products over time. Monitor new reviews as they arrive, detect sentiment shifts, and alert product and marketing teams to spikes in negative feedback.
Competitive Intelligence
Pull G2 profiles, feature comparisons, and ratings for competing software products in any category. Compare satisfaction scores, NPS data, and implementation difficulty ratings across vendors to inform product positioning and sales battlecards.
Software Discovery & Research
Search G2 categories to retrieve ranked software products with review counts, ratings, and pricing tiers. Useful for building software comparison tools, procurement platforms, and buyer guides that surface top-rated vendors by category.

Market Research & Category Analysis
Aggregate G2 data across a software category to measure market share, track which vendors are gaining reviews fastest, and identify gaps in the competitive landscape. Useful for investors, analysts, and product strategy teams.
